So, here I am starting my own blog!  I'm very excited, but a bit initimidated I must admit.  I read all of these clever, witty, informative blogs all of the time and don't know how I can possibly contribute anything to the blogging community or even hold the interest of my own family, but I guess I'll give it a go. 

To you grammar nazis, I know that my address is not grammatically correct (hence the difference in the address and the blog name).  Apparently I'm a little late to this whole internet thing and all of the addresses that make sense or that anyone would want are already taken.

If you know me, then you will probably understand the name of the blog, but I will fill you in, just in case.  A few things about me:

1.  Unfortunately, I've finally come to terms with the fact that "tightly wound" may be one of the best phrases you could use to describe my personality.  Not so much a good thing, although intensity definitely has its time and place.  (I also am an expert rationalizer, if you couldn't tell by my previous statement).  
2.  I love to attempt to be crafty and domestic.  My current favorite hobby is knitting, thus the name of the blog and the cute cartoon.
3.  I'm an accountant - a very left-brained profession by stereotype.  Supposedly, left-brained people aren't creative or artistic at all.  I disagree - I think you can be both.  I initially thought I would name my blog The Artful Accountant but eventually realized that would sound like I was up to creative accounting (not a good thing) more than cooking or knitting. 

I'm not really sure what I will write about, but I foresee a strange mix of knitting, cooking, scrapbooking, church, life in general, and last but not least, corgis (I'll leave you with a picture of my favorite one!)
